Welcome to Mental Root (“Mental Root,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Member Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our mental health support platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By registering as a member or using the Platform, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
Important Emergency Notice
Mental Root services are not intended for emergencies.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, suicidal thoughts, or thoughts of harming others, call your local emergency number immediately or go to the nearest emergency facility.
1. Who We Are
Mental Root operates a digital platform that helps members connect with independent, licensed mental health professionals (“Practitioners”).
Mental Root provides only non-clinical support services, such as:

Technology access and platform tools

Scheduling and intake assistance

Customer support

Site and application maintenance
Mental Root does not provide medical treatment directly. All clinical services are provided solely by licensed Practitioners.
2. Independent Practitioner Services
Practitioners available through the Platform are independent professionals who:

Make all clinical decisions themselves

Determine whether services are appropriate
-
Provide care only where legally authorized
Mental Root does not supervise or control practitioner medical judgment.
3. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Mental Root.
By using the Platform, you confirm that:

You are at least 18 years old, OR

You are a parent/legal guardian authorizing a minor where permitted by law

The information you provide is accurate and truthful

You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
4. Platform Not Intended for Children
The Platform is not designed for children under 18 without legal guardian consent.
Mental Root does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the applicable age threshold. If such information is discovered, it may be removed or access may be restricted.
5. Account Registration and Security
To access member services, you must create an account (“Registration”).
You agree to:

Log out after each session, especially on shared devices
Mental Root is not responsible for losses caused by failure to secure your account.
6. Insurance and Health Information

Mental Root is not responsible for denied claims or insurer decisions.
7. Payments and Billing
Paid services may require payment at the time of booking or before services begin.

Fees may include cancellation, no-show, or rescheduling charges

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers

Refunds are not guaranteed unless required by law

8. Consent and Withdrawal
You may withdraw consent for services at any time by notifying your Practitioner.
However, you may not receive services unless:

9. Prescriptions (If Applicable)
Mental Root is not a pharmacy.
If a Practitioner determines medication is appropriate:

Prescriptions are based solely on clinical judgment

Requests may be denied when medically necessary

Medications must be used only as prescribed
10. Content Disclaimer
Platform content (articles, videos, blogs, educational resources) is provided for informational purposes only.
Such content:

Does not create a patient-provider relationship
Always consult a licensed provider for medical concerns.
11. Member Conduct Rules
You agree not to:

Harass, abuse, or exploit others

Post illegal, defamatory, or harmful material

Use bots, scrapers, or automated access tools

Interfere with Platform security or functionality

Misuse content or violate intellectual property rights
Violations may result in immediate termination.
12. License and Acceptable Use
Mental Root grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Platform for lawful personal purposes.
You may not:

Copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit Platform content

Reverse engineer or modify Platform systems

Remove legal or copyright notices
13. Electronic Communications
By using the Platform, you consent to receive communications electronically, including:

17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Mental Root harmless from claims arising from:
